Changes in the lay-out of the homepage
I made some changes in the lay-out of the homepage:
The homepage now has a bit more text explaining why we made Helpalot and what it does.
Also we felt like the charities tab made the site look complicated. “What’s the difference between a charity and a project?” A user might think. We don’t want those questions; charities are not relevant on Helpalot (relatively speaking) it’s about find project you trust, so we now pushed charities more to the background.
Another change on the homepage is that I put the latest evaluation and news item higher and therefor the newest projects/users list lower. This to put more focus on that the site is about real users and their feedback.
The list is somewhat of a trick to stimulate users to upload their logo, since only new projects with a logo are shown on the frontpage. This works rather well.
Is this an improvement? Should we perhaps also remove the people tab? Personally I think there are good reasons for it to stay. But one might say, “less is more”, what do you think?
