Nice article on Interaction Design

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

This blog is about building Helpalot, but also a bit about other (related) stuff that interest me; So here’s a nice article on Interaction Design. It’s from Rein, who went with me to San Francisco earlier this year.

Google OpenSocial good for us?

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Tomorrow Google will present OpenSocial.

“OpenSocial is a set of three common APIs, defined by Google with input from partners, that allow developers to access core functions and information at social networks:

  • Profile Information (user data)
  • Friends Information (social graph)
  • Activities (things that happen, News Feed type stuff)”

NetSquared is wondering what it will do for nonprofits. And I’m wondering if we perhaps can use it for Helpalot.

If you have some ideas on how we can best make use of OpenSocial for Helpalot, please comment or send me a message on Helpalot.

Today I did a presentation at OneWorld on social network sites. It was much fun and I was able to convince a number of people to join Helpalot.

Big improvements for the edit pages

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

We improved the edit pages and some other details on Helpalot. Now the different parts are grouped by tabs in stead of a big scrolling page, making the experience a bit nicer.

Also I reduced the amount of words in the titles and texts on the front page.
