What do you think, send password in welcome-email?
Monday, May 14th, 2007We are having a discussion if we should or should not send you your password on your welcome-email.
Argument for:
- Easy of use, if you forget your password, it’s right there waiting for you
Argument against:
- Not safe, someone might be near you and view your password. Since a lot of people use the same password for different things, you rather keep this ultra-secret.
In the same area; Do you think that ‘I forgot my password’ should send you your password? We can also send you a auto-login-link that brings you to the ‘change your password’ page.
