A little deadline confusion

I handed in my concept document, only to find out I didn’t really had to. How I made my mistake? This was how the deadline was communicated to me:

“Hand in 1 final version “thesis” (Dutch with English summary or English) and 1 final version of your individual project to MA-tutor (if possible and if your teacher told you so, if not, you don’t have to hand the project in yet)”

For some reason I was sloppy reading what was between the ( ). Maybe, because usually what’s between ( ) is not that important, but this time it was inverting the message. Mental note: always triple check deadline communication. In a way this is the best thing that could happen, because I would never have put so much effort in the concept documentation otherwise.

Because of a seperate deadline confusion (teacher gave me another week, but should not have), I now have an extra week for my thesis.

To complete the deadline picture; August 25 are my Exams, and 13 and 14 of September is the Expo at the HKU in Hilversum.

(I will blame any bad grammer or spelling in this article on me not sleeping last night)
