Help a little; tech advice, slogan, logo
Now I’ve got the name, there is still a lot to be done. Perhaps you can help me out with some of it; giving some technical advice or thinking up a slogan or logo.
One of the big tasks will be building a test version. I plan to build it in May, so I can start testing in June. I could use your advice on how to go about this. The way I see it now, I have three choices:
- Building from scratch
- Using open source components, (someting like) Joomla!
- Using (someting like) Ning.com
I’d like your advice. Do you know Ning or Joomla! and do you think it would be the right choice to get a first test version online? Or will I be better off building it from scratch?
For the builiding from scratch option; I know PHP and mySQL, but I only have done a couple of smaller projects, so that might be difficult.
Also, I know it’s hard to give advice when there is not yet a detailed concept of what should be in the test version, it’s on top of my todo list. For now you’ll have to do with the content & context flowchart.
The next simple influence you can have is on the logo and slogan. For the logo I need an idea and a style. I’ll be working on it myself, but feel free to send in ideas.
